Damla — Privacy Policy

1. Data the app collects

Damla does not send or store any of your input on a server. The following is kept on your device only:

• Water and drink entries — for daily tracking and reports
• Weight, sex, activity level — to calculate your daily goal
• Wake-up and bedtime — to schedule reminders
• Cups, theme, language and unit preferences — personalisation
• Notification delivery records — to measure whether reminders actually reach you

Deleting the app removes all of it. You can also clear everything from Settings → Data → Delete all data at any time.

2. Health data

The weight and hydration figures you enter are health-related, but they never leave your device. They are not sent to us, to the ad network, or to any third party. The app does not provide medical advice; the goal calculation is a general estimate.

3. Advertising

The free version shows banner ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may process your device's advertising ID and approximate location (IP-based, country/city level). This data is collected by Google; we have no access to it.

• Google's advertising data policy: policies.google.com/technologies/ads
• Users in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are shown a consent screen for personalised advertising. If you decline, ads are still shown but not personalised.
• On iOS you are additionally asked for tracking permission (ATT). Declining keeps ads visible, only without personalisation.
• With the ad-free subscription the ad stack is never initialised and your advertising ID is not processed.

4. Purchases

The ad-free subscription is handled by Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS). Payment details go straight to the store; we never see or store your card information. The app only keeps an "ad-free or not" flag on your device.

5. Permissions

• Notifications: to send drink reminders. The app keeps working if you decline.
• Boot completed: to re-schedule reminders after the phone restarts.
• Battery optimisation shortcut: to take you to the relevant system setting when we detect that reminders are being blocked.

The app does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts or file access.

6. Analytics and tracking

Damla contains no third-party analytics (no Firebase Analytics, no Facebook SDK). Usage statistics are computed on your device and stay there.

7. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties. The only exception is the data Google AdMob collects itself as described above.

8. Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

9. Backups

Backup files you create are written to your own device. Where you copy that file afterwards (for example a cloud drive) is entirely under your control; the app does not perform that transfer.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, the date on this page is updated. Material changes are also announced inside the app.
